Use a buzzer system to admit customers to your store. If locked doors are not appropriate in your community, use a doorbell or chime to alert you that someone has entered your store. Follow fire codes that require a fast release from the inside and permit armed robbers a rapid exit to prevent a violent incident from occurring.

The chance of an armed robbery goes up if there is only one person on the floor at a time, so have at least two employees on the floor at all times.
